1. Character Name (and please include battletag): Darnité@Sargeras, SmashBros#1560
2: Class: Druid.
3: Current Server Sargeras.
4: Primary Raiding Spec Feral.
5: Offspec (Every core raider is expected to be proficient with at least one other viable spec) I play feral really good, and I messed around in MoP with balance alot. It's been hard for me to adjust to the spec changes but with some time and effort I'm sure I can bring up my balance spec to be good and viable.
6: Give us a link to your armory. Make sure to log out in PvE Equipment:http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/sargeras/Darnit%C3%A9/simple
7: Tell us a bit about your raiding experience since your start in WoW (If any, at least as much as is relevant): Well I've always played WoW casually alongside my brothers. In Cata is when I first started raiding, (I don't count my Wotlk days) and fooled around in MoP. Warlords is the first expansion I really wanted to get serious in.
8: What guilds were you previously in (last two)? Under what circumstances did you leave? Details are important. I recently left Apostate, a guild me and a few friends made after we transferred to Sargeras. It was a casual semi-hardcore raid guild. I had a blast with the people in it but I'm looking for a more serious raiding team.
Slacker Requirements Check
9: Times: Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Sunday starting @ 7:30 Server Time lasting until 11: 30 Server time. Sargeras is CST. It is in your best interest to maintain 90% attendance in order to maintain a core raiding position. If you are unable to make 90% attendance, inform us now. Excessive absences and/or being late will result in loss of spot and/or removal. Understood? I would of course strive to keep a perfect attendance but if something does happen in RL; work, school, Family, etc., I'd inform an officer with due time and notice.
b. Loot in Slacker is done using EPGP Loot Master based on factors such as need, Best in Slot gearing, performance. Rank does not come in to play except in the case of trials. Please confirm that you understand this and it is acceptable to you. Our goal is to benefit raid-wise for progression over personal item levels. In a raid environment I understand the needs of the group above the needs of an individual. I'd usually not take a piece unless it's my BiS or it's a very big IL upgrade for me.
10: Mumble, Microphone, BIG WIGS as a boss mod are required. Do you have all three? I do have mumble and use it often. I've got a mic too. I'm more comfortable using DBM but if that's a problem I can switch to BIG WIGS.
b. Other addons required are EPGP Lootmaster, Angry Assignments, Exorsus Raid Tools. Make sure to download them. Please confirm that you have them downloaded or will download them before accepting a trial position. I have EPGP and Angry Assignments already. I will look into Exorsus and download it.
11: Do you play on a stable internet connection? We don't need raiders who play on a toaster. A disconnect her and there is tolerable, but constanty disconnecting and lag makes you a liability. Please provide us with a www.speedtest.net result. I have comcast xfinity home internet. I have 0 problems with my server's connection. If I dc it's 9 out of 10 times the game or the server lag. (Or if someone unplugs the modem thinking it's the toaster. xD)
Knowledge of Class and Play-style: As a feral druid, I know my place in the raid. Damage, Utility, And of course, Raid awareness. I'm always striving to get the most out of my Class and spec, right down to every bleed tick.
12: Please provide us with a screenshot or two of your UI in a recent combat raid environment (if you do not currently have any, please hop into an LFR and grab a screenshot): This is just one I snapped a couple days ago. I've changed nothing except for the outgoing damage on the left is now gone to reduce clutter. file:///Users/briahjasmith/Desktop/Desktop%20Stuff/Screen%20Shot%202015-04-15%20at%205.38.58%20PM.png
13: Provide a link to recent logs in a raid setting. This is absolutely required. Rankings from my most recent raid kill. Heroic Blackhand. www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/QHxYwKMBbZmrDjA2#view=rankings
14: Can you tell us the stat weights you use for gear, gems, and enchants (please do not copy off websites, demonstrate a decent knowledge of your class/spec)? There is no one source of info I use to better myself and class. Feral druid has a pretty slow rotation specializing on crit to halve the time it takes to build CPs. After that I have a decent amount of crit I focus more on multi as it scales incredibly for me. Wether it's Icy veins or, youtube videos or, Druid forums they're are plenty of resources nowadays there's 0 exscuses as to why a person cannot learn their class and make it exceptional. I personally also look at high ranking players to see what they're doing. Stenhaldi from Midwinter is a good example of this. I have to say he's my idol in WoW and an inspiration to be a great feral druid.
b. What is your standard rotation for your current role (more detail is better)? Okay so pull timer is out I'll pre cast healing touch to get BT's proc. at 1 or 2 seconds I pre-pot. Open with Rake>Shred til 5 CPs. Rip, shred, shred, shred and use PS procs at 4-5 CPs to get that 30% buff on FB. It's important to get that first FB off while TF is up. It's a noticeable dps increase. I literally have all my dmg buffs being tracked because while snapshotting may be gone, When you use your abilities is still important, especially if you can hold of 2-3 seconds to get a proc. There is alot more that goes on in my rotation that I won't disclose. I hope you get the general idea and appreciate my attention to detail.
15. Please describe a "Recent" raid boss that really demonstrates how you have gone above and beyond your current role. This may involve using a special spec, non standard rotation, or non standard glyphs. If possible, link parse of you doing this. There's one fight that really comes to mind for me and that's gotta be BlackHand. While I haven't had many chances to parse on him with an actual raid team, (one who isn't gonna mess up) there are certain things I can do on him unlike any other bosses. For 1, right at the start I time my survival instincts to .5 seconds before a massive demo falls. People often say feral is bad on the stands. I completely disagree. Timing Incarnation right allows me to completely clear an entire side by myself more than halfway into the phase. How I use my CD's on that fight also differ from other raid bosses. Usually using Incarnate a bit earlier from berserk, (15 seconds). I believe every attempt you can learn something new about the encounter and how you affect it with EVERY single one of your abilities.
16: At the start of a fight, a single debuff is applied to one person. This debuff lasts 60 seconds. Upon expiration, the debuff kills its target and jumps to two new people. Assuming you are in a 25 man raid, how long do you have to kill the boss? Approximately 13 minutes. (The context of this question is very important. If the Debuff is targeted to your tanks you obviously cannot kill the boss. Healers likewise. Depending on the bosses health and enrage timer, it also can not be done if the debuff is killing too many dps.)
Personal Responses:
17: Age 19
18: Gender: Male
19: How did you hear about Slacker? Is there anyone here who can vouch for you? I heard of Slacker through a recruiting ad in trade chat.
20: Why do you want to join us and what convinces you that you'd be a good addition to Slacker? What sets you apart? <- Money Question, one-liners here reflect poorly… Please think about that. I definitely have alot of competition as a feral druid. I can't lie. There isn't a whole lot of qualities you can find in me, that you wouldn't be able to in another responsible raider. ALTHOUGH. You haven't yet met me. How I treat others, myself, HONESTY. If I'm not doing my part, (and more) then I'm the first to know I DO NOT BELONG. If I did join Slacker, (and I wouldn't without first seeing the type of people are in Slacker) I'd do what I always do, give it my all. Always try harder the next pull. I feel like I could add something unique to the team.
21: We're a fun guild with a friendly atmosphere, though we can be extremely vulgar at times. Are you alright with this? Alright with it? Definitely. Although I'll prolly mute you guy's if it gets too piggish. xD
22: It is important that we get to know you more than as just another player. Tell us a bit about yourself. My name is Zai Smith. I'm a amatuer musician, I work at a guitar center in Grand Rapid MI. I really really love classical music, Bach, mozart, Rachmaninoff. I have alot of family. 3 younger sisters, 2 older brothers, 2 older sisters. I live in an apartment with my second oldest brother, but we're always in between my parent's house. I like breakfast, and food > wow every time. A TWD advocate and I never let my guard down.
